Social Early Neutral Evaluation, or SENE, is a confidential process used in family court cases involving custody and parenting time. During a SENE, a team of trained evaluators listen to each parent’s concerns and provide recommendations to help the parents better understand the issues and work toward settlement.

In a SENE, a two-person evaluation team meets with the parents and their attorneys, if any. Each parent has an opportunity to explain the custody and parenting time arrangement they believe is best and why. The evaluators ask questions, meet privately to discuss the information, and then share recommendations. After that, the parents and their attorneys can discuss possible settlement options.

If custody or parenting-time issues are difficult to resolve, contact Angela Lallemont to learn whether SENE may help.
